Day 3: Work

It's funny how many things I've taken for granted. Like washing my own clothes, cooking my family's meals, picking up after my two-year old's messes, or just picking up my two-year old for that matter, cleaning my house, going to the grocery store, and like a million other things. Things that require energy--work, essentially.

I guess it didn't fully click until now how much of a blessing it was when the Lord told Adam, "In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread" (Genesis 3:19).

I miss work. I miss that go, go, go 'how am I going to get it done', 'so many things to do' lifestyle I was living a couple of weeks ago. I dream about vacuuming, cooking delicious meals, and playing with Colton all day. (i know, it is crazy--and no, they aren't giving me drugs. . .yet)

I'm sure there are some busy Mommas reading this thinking, 'ha, you come to my house and see how much you miss work'. And you are right, this life is SO much work. It's exhausting--but mixed in with the laundry loads, and the midnight feedings, the running to this event and cleaning up after that one is all the good stuff.

So even though it sounds like heaven to have nothing to do all day but lay around take it from me, it gets old really fast.

All the best as you start another week of work. See you tomorrow!
